In 2021, the GMAT test takers were afforded some respite from the rigid structure of the exam: Test takers can now select the order in which they prefer to complete the 4 sections of the test.
AWA: Analysis of Writing Assessment: 30 minutes: 1 essay – Analysis of an Argument. The AWA assignment is graded on a 0-6 scale in 0.5 increments, a score that is not incorporated into the 800 score of the test.
IR: Integrated Reasoning: 30 minutes: 12 Questions in the form of texts, tables or graphs which tests the test taker’s ability to read, understand, and interpret information rapidly, facilitated by access to an online calculator. The IR score is graded on a scale of 0-8 in 1- point increments, a score that is not incorporated into the 800 score and is reported independently.
Quantitative: 75 minutes: 37 Questions of Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency. Quantitative scores run on a scaled score range of 0 to 60, with a 51 scaling a 98 percentile.
Verbal: 75 minutes: 41 Questions of critical thinking, reading comprehension and sentence correction. Verbal score run on a scaled score range of 0 to 60, with a 45 scaling a 99 percentile.
